The Apex Tactical Reset Assist Mechanism w/o Magazine Disconnect is a high-performance, drop-in upgrade designed specifically for Smith & Wesson M&P pistols that feature a factory magazine disconnect safety. This patented part (U.S. Patent No. 8,510,980) dramatically enhances the tactile trigger reset on your M&P, giving you a crisper, more positive reset feel for faster follow-up shots and improved shooting performance—whether at the range, in competition, or for defensive use.
Key Features & Benefits
- Sharper, more defined trigger reset — Engineered to maintain proper trigger bar alignment under the sear, delivering a noticeably tactile “click” on reset that shooters love.
- Fully preserves magazine disconnect function — Unlike the standard RAM version, this variant keeps the factory mag disconnect fully operational (prevents dry firing without a magazine inserted), making it ideal for users in jurisdictions requiring this safety feature or those who prefer to retain it.
- Added failsafe protection — Acts as a backup in the rare event of trigger return spring failure, helping keep the trigger bar properly positioned.
- Drop-in installation — Simple, no gunsmithing required; typically a quick swap using basic tools.
- Compatible models — Fits original centerfire Smith & Wesson M&P pistols in 9mm, .357 SIG, and .40 S&W calibers that do NOT have a thumb safety or Internal Locking System (ILS) but do include the magazine disconnect. (Always verify compatibility with your specific M&P model.)
Crafted from durable steel components for long-lasting reliability, this upgrade is a favorite among M&P owners looking to refine their factory trigger without sacrificing safety features or breaking the bank.
