This is a new Daniel Defense barrel

We offer the option of a new virgin barrel, or a barrel kit with Geissel gas block pinned.

The stripped barrel is simply that:  a new Daniel Defense barrel.  The option with a Geissele gas block and your choice of with or without a gas gas tube.  If you choose the gas tube option, the gas tube will be installed into the gas block and with a gas tube roll pin.  The pinning of the gas block is delivered partially in-place, to allow you to remove the gas block and slide on a barrel nut to match your choice of rail.  The Geissele gas block will work well with a Daniel Defense RIS-II M4A1 rail for a Block 2 build, as well as with any Geissele rail, like the Mk8, Mk14 or Mk16 Geissele rails.

Cold Hammer Forging of barrels has been known for decades to produce the most accurate, longest lasting rifle barrels obtainable. The Cold Hammer Forging of barrels is accomplished through intense hydraulic pressure applied at opposing angles by carbide steel hammers. During the hammering process, a mandrel is inserted into the bore while the carbide steel hammers shape the barrel around the mandrel creating the chamber, the lands, and the grooves. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the Cold Hammer Forging process creates a defect free bore and the most consistent chamber possible.
