The Daniel Defense M4A1 Block 2 is Daniel Defense’s commercial interpretation of the SOPMOD Block II M4A1 fielded by US Special Operations Command since 2005 — the same RIS II rail program that DD originally built for the SEAL Teams and US Army. This FDE-railed rifle is built around a 14.5″ cold hammer forged M4-profile barrel with a permanently attached DD flash suppressor (pinned and welded to 16.1″ legal length), a DD low-profile gas block in a carbine-length direct-impingement system, and an M16-profile, MP-tested, chrome-lined bolt carrier group with a properly staked gas key.

DD gives you the clone-correct Block II profile where it matters — the RIS II FDE handguard and the overall package — while modernizing the rifle with the ambi GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, DD-logoed mil-spec 7075-T6 upper and lower, H buffer, and DD buttstock and pistol grip in soft-touch overmolded polymer.
