The L5AWM Gen 2 body is molded with proprietary polymers and features Lancer’s signature aggressive surface texturing for a better grip, especially during active engagements and in humid conditions. Their newly designed GEN 2 feed lips are built to withstand heavy, sustained fire, extreme temperature changes, and extended storage without wearing, bending, cracking, deforming, or splitting-making a magazine tough enough for military, law enforcement, and competition use.
NOTE: In order to maintain compliance with various state and local capacity regulations, the internal limiting device was carefully designed to not allow more than fifteen (15) rounds to be inserted into the magazine. In order to ensure this for legal purposes, we had to reduce the amount of stack travel available when fully loaded to ten rounds. As a result, it may be difficult to insert a fully loaded magazine onto a closed bolt on some weapon platforms. Loading on an open bolt and/or loading the magazine to fourteen (14) rounds will alleviate this issue. We don’t like it anymore than you do, but it’s how we keep compliance.
