Original Russian Early Production AKM Gas Tube – Izhmash Surplus

The Original Russian Early Production AKM Gas Tube – Izhmash Surplus is a genuine military-surplus component direct from the legendary Izhmash arsenal (now Kalashnikov Concern), the birthplace of the AK platform. These early-production gas tubes date to the initial AKM rollout period (late 1950s to early/mid production runs post-1959), featuring the classic design that defined the modernized Kalashnikov rifle.

Crafted from durable steel with the original factory finish, this gas tube ensures reliable gas operation, proper cycling, and authentic period-correct appearance for your AKM build or restoration. As an early variant, it often includes distinctive Izhmash markings and characteristics sought after by serious collectors and builders who demand factory-original Soviet parts over later or commercial reproductions.

Key Features and Benefits:

• Authentic Izhmash-manufactured surplus – early production for maximum historical accuracy
• Direct compatibility with standard stamped-receiver AKM rifles (7.62x39mm) and many AK-47/AKM-pattern builds
• Rugged steel construction built to withstand harsh military use and extreme conditions
• Surplus condition – typically shows honest storage/handling marks, cosmoline residue, or light patina consistent with decades-old military parts (fully functional, no major defects)
• Ideal upgrade or replacement for restoring original Russian AKMs, custom builds, or enhancing collector-grade rifles

Perfect for AK enthusiasts, gunsmiths, and historians who value provenance and authenticity. Add this rare Izhmash early-production piece to complete your stamped AKM project with genuine Soviet DNA. Limited availability – once these surplus originals are gone, they’re irreplaceable.
