The PSA AK-47 Rear Sight Leaf Spring is a small but critical component that provides the necessary tension to hold the rear sight leaf securely in position on your AK-47 platform rifle. It allows reliable elevation adjustments (typically up to 800 meters on standard AK sights) while ensuring the sight stays firm during recoil and rough use. If your original spring is worn, lost, or damaged during a build or maintenance, this direct replacement restores crisp, positive sight detents and reliable function.
Manufactured by Palmetto State Armory (PSA) in the USA, this PSAK-47 Rear Sight Leaf Spring (SKU: 516444958) features a natural finish for durability and corrosion resistance. It’s specifically designed for the PSAK-47 series but is compatible with most standard AK-47/AKM-pattern rifles that use a traditional rear sight leaf assembly.
Key features and technical details from the manufacturer:
- Made in the USA – supports American manufacturing
- Natural finish for reliable performance and longevity
- Platform: AK-47 (PSAK-47 compatible; fits most stamped and milled receiver AK-pattern rifles)
- Function: Provides spring tension on the rear sight leaf for secure positioning and elevation clicks
- Simple drop-in replacement – easy installation with basic tools (often just a screwdriver and some downward pressure)
Backed by PSA’s Full Lifetime Warranty on parts (covers defects in materials and workmanship), this is an essential small part for completing or repairing your AK-47 build. Whether you’re assembling a custom rifle, replacing a fatigued factory spring, or upgrading your PSAK-47, this high-quality American-made component ensures your iron sights perform as reliably as the legendary AK platform itself.
