WMD Guns NitroMet Black Gas Tube | AR-15 & AR-308Give your gas system the ultimate defense against heat and fouling with the WMD Guns NitroMet Gas Tube. While standard stainless steel tubes are prone to carbon buildup and heat erosion over time, the NitroMet series is treated with a specialized salt bath nitrocarburizing process that transforms the surface of the metal itself.
Advanced NitroMet PerformanceThe NitroMet (Melonite/Nitride) treatment increases the surface hardness of the 304 stainless steel to a remarkable Rc 55. This isn’t just a coating that can flake off; it is a thermochemical infusion that creates a slick, “self-lubricating” surface. This prevents carbon from baking onto the tube, ensuring your rifle cycles smoothly and reducing the maintenance required to keep your gas system clear.
Engineered for DurabilityWhether you are running a suppressed short-barrel rifle (SBR) or a long-range precision build, the NitroMet gas tube offers superior resistance to the extreme temperatures and corrosive gases generated at the gas port. The “blacker-than-black” finish also provides a sleek, tactical aesthetic that blends perfectly under modern M-LOK or KeyMod handguards
