The Apex Tactical Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit for Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 (often referred to as the C Forward Set variant on the site) is a premium upgrade designed to transform your M&P M2.0 pistol’s trigger performance. Engineered for polymer frame M&P M2.0 models, this kit delivers a smooth, consistent trigger pull with significantly reduced over-travel and pre-travel (shortened reset), making it ideal for competitive shooting, duty use, or enhanced everyday carry.
Key features and benefits include:
- Flat-faced trigger design for improved leverage, more precise finger placement, and a modern feel preferred by many shooters.
- Forward-set geometry reduces pre-travel and over-travel for a crisper, more predictable break.
- Adjustable pull weight potential — users report achieving anywhere from approximately 3 lbs to 6 lbs depending on spring combinations (e.g., lighter setups around 4-4.5 lbs with factory springs, or tuned heavier for duty/carry safety).
- Crisp, clean break with short, positive reset — shooters describe it as “phenomenal,” “second to none,” and one of the best striker-fired triggers available.
- Center-mounted trigger safety (similar to Glock-style) for reliable function.
- Available in durable materials (polymer or aluminum options in various kits; this listing focuses on the polymer-compatible forward set version).
- Easy drop-in installation with no gunsmithing typically required (follow Apex instructions for your specific M&P M2.0 variant).
- Compatible with Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 polymer frame pistols in 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP (full-size, compact, etc. — verify exact model fit on Apex site).
This kit turns an already excellent M&P M2.0 into a “totally different beast” with smoother take-up, solid precision, and enhanced control — perfect for anyone seeking a competition-level trigger without sacrificing reliability.
Whether you’re upgrading your range gun, duty pistol, or concealed carry setup, the Apex Forward Set Trigger Kit delivers noticeable improvements in accuracy, speed, and confidence.
