PTR 9R 608 Carbine – 9mm, 16″

Embracing the Legacy: A Seamless Blend of HK MP5 Heritage and Modern Craftsmanship

The PTR 9R Carbine 608 stands as a testament to the enduring allure of the HK design, offering firearm enthusiasts a taste of the legendary HK MP5 lineage in a modern, U.S.-compliant format. Drawing inspiration from the civilian HK 94, which itself is a derivative of the iconic MP5, the PTR 608 captures the essence of its German predecessors while catering to the specific needs of the American market.

At its core, the PTR 608 is a faithful clone of the HK 94, mirroring its semi-automatic functionality and design aesthetics. It boasts the roller-delayed blowback system, a hallmark of the HK family, ensuring smooth operation and reliable cycling of rounds. The 16.2″ barrel and fixed stock are reminiscent of the HK 94’s adaptations for civilian use, while modern enhancements like the M-LOK handguard and Picatinny rail showcase PTR’s commitment to innovation. Traditional HK style iron sights and magazine release mechanisms further bridge the past and present, offering both familiarity and contemporary utility.

Key Highlights:

• HK Lineage: A direct descendant of the HK 94, carrying the legacy of the MP5.
• Roller-delayed blowback system: Smooth, reliable, and true to its HK roots.
• M-LOK handguard: Modern versatility for accessory attachments.
• Welded 4.5″ Picatinny rail: Ready for today’s optics without losing its classic appeal.
• HK style controls: Familiarity meets function with the paddle and push-button magazine release.
• American Craftsmanship: A U.S.-made masterpiece, compliant with all federal regulations.

For years, American firearm enthusiasts have yearned for the compact design and unparalleled performance of the HK MP5. However, due to various restrictions, owning one remained a distant dream for many.

The HK 94 emerged as a civilian-friendly adaptation of the MP5, but even it faced import challenges. The desire for an MP5-style firearm, tailored for the U.S. market, was palpable.

The PTR 9R Carbine 608 rises to the occasion. Crafted with precision in the U.S., it’s not just a firearm; it’s a piece of history. By cloning the HK 94 and channeling the spirit of the MP5, the PTR 608 offers enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of the legend, reimagined for today’s world.
